The Many Fabrics of Sawtooth Stars

The Sawtooth Star is a great block. Lots of options, but if you just make them out of two fabrics, they are fabulous as well.

Here are TFQ’s 4″ Sawtooth Star blocks: all 685 approximately of them. Sit back and enjoy the fabulous fabrics!

This project was a “clear out my scraps project” and a precursor to the Fabric of the Year project.

Holy crap! Or should that be – Holy scrap! When did you make all these!? And how big are the blocks – the quilt? More than one quilt? These are incredible! And yes, it really goes to show you what you can do with just color.

I didn’t make these! My friend, TFQ, made them as a scrap reduction project. She has a lot of gorgeous scraps and loves to use as many fabrics as possible in a quilt.

Yes, I had forgotten that they were 4″. I made a note in the post.

JarvenPA: thanks so much for reading. The blocks are not yet sewn together, so we placed them on TFQ’s design wall and photographed them. I don’t remember what order I took the pictures, but as we put the blocks up, we arranged them in different ways. In the latter photos I put the blocks up with the same colors next to each other.
